Hydraulic Engineering
Hydraulic engineering is a specialized branch of civil engineering that focuses on the flow, control, and management of water and other fluids.
Hydraulic Engineering focuses on fluid mechanics principles as they apply to civil engineering. Students will learn to analyze, design, and manage hydraulic systems, including open-channel flow, pipe systems, pumps, and turbines. This course integrates theoretical understanding with practical applications through problem-solving and case studies.Hydraulic engineering plays a critical role in designing and constructing systems to manage water resources, mitigate flood risks, generate energy, and support agricultural, industrial, and domestic needs.
